Caramelized Onion Dip
Watching football or your favorite movie isn't quite complete without potato chips and onion dip. I almost picked up a container of premade onion dip while at the grocery store for last Sunday's game, but I thought that this is one dip that is almost as easy to make as it is to buy.
Be sure to let the onions saute until they really turn golden.

Caramelized Onion Dip
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 1/2 c. red and sweet onions, roughly chopped
1/8 tsp. salt
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 c. 2% plain Greek yogurt
1/4 c. sour cream
2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
1/4 tsp. onion powder
green onions, diced (optional)
Heat a oil in a medium skillet over medium low heat. Add onions. Sprinkle with salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until onions turn a deep tan color, about 20+ minutes. Stir in garlic and let cook 2 minutes more.
Remove pan from heat and place onion mixture in a medium bowl. Stir in yogurt, sour cream, mayonnaise and onion powder. Salt to taste.
Chill dip for at least 30 minutes before serving. Top with green onions as garnish.
